Chinese Taipei Challenger: Ramkumar Ramanathan in quarterfinals

The Indian defeats Chien-Hsun Lo 4-6, 6-3, 6-2.

Davis Cupper Ramkumar Ramanathan fought his way past wildcard entrant Chien-Hsun Lo of Chinese Taipei 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 to make the quarterfinals of the USD 162,480 Challenger in Chinese Taipei on Thursday.

In the quarterfinals, Ramkumar will play Korea's Kwon Soonwoo, who knocked out the top-seed Lloyd Harris of South Africa 7-5, 6-7 (3), 6-3.

In the ATP event in Morocco, Leander Paes, in partnership with Benoit Paire of France, knocked out fourth seeds Oliver Marach and Philipp Oswald of Austria 12-10 in the super tie-break, to make the doubles semifinals.

In the tour event in Houston, Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan and Purav Raja set up a quarterfinal against the top seeds Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan, with a 10-8 victory in the super tie-break over Nicholas Monroe and Miguel Angel Reyes-Varela.

In the USD 25,000 ITF men’s Futures in Shymkent, Kazakhstan, Sidharth Rawat bounced back were disillusioning start to outsmart Grigoriy Lomakin of Kazakhstan 0-6, 6-2, 6-2. In the quarterfinals, Sidharth will play the Russian top seed Roman Safiullin.
