Czech Republic celebrate its 2015 Fed Cup triumph

Top seeds Czech Republic will begin the 2017 Fed Cup at home against Spain after the World Group draw was made in Zagreb on Monday.

Even though the 2016 competition has yet to reach its conclusion, the top eight nations have already learned their opponents for the start of next year's tournament.

The Czechs face France in the final of the current edition in Strasbourg in November, Petra Kvitova's side looking to win a fifth title in the last six years.

Spain, promoted from World Group II after beating Italy in the play-offs, will provide its first test in 2017, while France was drawn against 2016 semi-finalists Switzerland.

The remaining two matches in the World Group see Germany face United States and Belarus host Netherlands.
