Davis Cup: World Group play-offs draw on Tuesday

India along with Austria, Bosnia/Herzegovina, Colombia, Hungary, Netherlands, Sweden and Uzbekistan are in the fray for a place in the World Group play-offs.

Unseeded India could either meet Argentina, Great Britain, Australia, Switzerland, Serbia, Canada, Czech Republic or Japan, the eight seeded teams, for a place in the Davis Cup World Group.

The ITF had announced the seedings for the play-off draw which is scheduled to take place on Tuesday morning.

Other countries in the fray for a spot in the World Group are: Austria, Bosnia/Herzegovina, Colombia, Hungary, Netherlands, Sweden and Uzbekistan.

The World Group play-offs will take place alongside the World Group semifinals on September 14-16. The eight winning nations will contest the 2019 World Group while the losing countries will contest their respective Zone Group 1 events.

India had earlier this week came from behind to defeat China 3-2.
