Divij Sharan in partnership with Artem Sitak of New Zealand was beaten 7-6(2), 6-4 by the second seeds Luke Bambridge of Britain and Ben Mclachlan of Japan in the doubles pre-quarterfinals of the $1,000,000 ATP tennis tournament in Zhuhai, China, on Wednesday.

Divij, who had won the title last week in St. Petersburg, Russia, shared $4,900 with the Kiwi.

In the Challenger in Buenos Aires, seventh seed Sumit Nagal beat Pedro Sakamoto of Brazil 6-7(2), 6-4, 6-3 in the second round. He will play Jose Hernandez-Fernandez of Dominic Republic in the pre-quarterfinals.

In the Challenger in France, seventh seed Gregoire Barrere of France beat Ramkumar Ramanathan 7-5, 6-4 in the second round. Ramkumar collected five ATP points and €1,320.
