India’s tennis sensation Sania Mirza says that French Open campaign this summer for her and partner Martina Hingis will be the toughest for the simple reason that clay is not their favourite surface.

“Yes, having won the last three Grand Slams, the chances are bright. But it is going to be very, very tough,” remarked Sania on the sidelines of a tourism promotion event here on Wednesday.

Playing her part as the Telengana Brand Ambassador, Sania revealed Hingis’ love for Hyderabad and its food, with biryani being her favourite. “We hope to visit some of the great places in Telangana in April when we have a one-month break from the circuit,” she said.

Sania, who is back in the city after her record-breaking winning streak with Hingis came to an end last week, has been training at her Sania Mirza Tennis Academy here as part of efforts to stay longer as the World No.1 in women’s doubles.
