Garbine Muguruza is not taking anything for granted going into Wimbledon despite her recent triumph at the French Open.

Muguruza, who lost in last year's Wimbledon final to Serena Williams, claimed a maiden grand slam title at Roland Garros three weeks ago with victory over the American world number one.

World number two Muguruza is understandably one of the favourites to triumph at the All England Club behind Williams and starts her campaign against Camila Giorgi.

But, speaking at a media conference, Muguruza said: "Nothing has changed for me to look at Wimbledon differently. I actually feel it's more weird to be back here because of last year, and not because I'm a grand slam winner two weeks ago.

"So, it's rare to be back here because it's so quick and so much has happened in between, I can't believe it. But no, I don't see a difference.

"I don't feel different because I'm not convinced that by winning the French Open I will come here and it's this miracle, and I can win every match.

"I've been in the situation where you win a lot of matches and then suddenly you lose, and you're like 'I thought I was going to win'.

"So, I don't take anything for granted. I'm going to go into the first match like everyone else from zero, and yeah, not thinking about that."
