Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan wins doubles title in the US

Top seed, Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan, in partnership with Austin Krajicek of the US, beat second seeds Roberto Maytin of Venezuela and Christopher Rungkat of Indonesia 6-7(4), 6-4, 10-5 in the doubles final of the $75,000 Challenger tennis tournament in Winnetka, US.

The title was worth 80 ATP points and $4,650. It was the third Challenger doubles title of the season for the 29-year-old Jeevan, who had interestingly, won an each, earlier, with Christopher Rungkat and Austin Krajicek.

In the $100,000 ITF women’s event in France, Prarthana Thombare, in partnership with Eva Wacanno of the Netherlands, was beaten 3-6, 6-2, 10-7 by An Sophie Mestach of Belgium and Zheng Saisai of China.
