Japan Challenger: Jeevan-Christopher duo in semifinals

Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan and Christopher Rungkat beat Xin Gao and Ze Zhang in the men's doubles semifinal of a Challenger even in Japan.

Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan and Christopher Rungkat of Indonesia made the doubles semifinals the Challenger in Japan with a 6-2, 6-3 victory over the Chinese duo of Xin Gao and Ze Zhang.

In the semifinals, the fourth seeds will challenge the second seeded pair of Alex Bolt and Bradley Mousley of Australia.

In the ITF women’s tournament in Shenzhen, Ankita Raina was beaten 6-3, 6-4 by Fang Ying Xun of China, in the first round.

Qualifier Snehadevi Reddy smashed her way into the pre-quarterfianls of the ITF women’s event in Spain, by outplaying Tiphanie Fiquet of France for the loss of one game. She also made the doubles quarterfinals.

Singles (first round): Fang Ying Xun (Chn) beat Ankita Raina 6-3, 6-4.

Challenger men, Kobe, Japan

Doubles (quarterfinals): Christopher Rungkat (Ina) & Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan beat Xin Gao & Ze Zhang (Chn) 6-2, 6-3.

ITF men, Meshref, Kuwait

Doubles (pre-quarterfinals): Anvit Bendre & Anirudh Chandrasekar beat Aria Harajchi (Sui) & P. C. Vignesh 7-5, 6-3;  Mohammad Ghareeb & Abdullah Maqdes (Kuw) bt Chandril Sood & Lakshit Sood 7-6(3), 6-3.

ITF women, Vinaros, Spain

Singles (first round): Snehadevi Reddy beat Tiphanie Fiquet (Fra) 6-0, 6-1.

Doubles (pre-quarterfinals): Charlotte Roemer (Ecu) & Snehadevi Reddy beat Anabel Aran Torrente (Esp) & Ekaterina Kholopenko (Rus) 6-2, 6-2.
