Jeevan, Purav Raja reach quarters at France

Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan and Purav Raja won 6-2, 6-4 in the doubles pre-quarterfinals of the € 744,010 ATP tennis tournament in France.

Wild card entrants Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan and Purav Raja knocked out top seeds Oliver Marach of Austria and Mate Pavic of Croatia 6-2, 6-4 in the doubles pre-quarterfinals of the € 744,010 ATP tennis tournament in France on Tuesday.

In the Challenger in Bangkok, Saketh Myneni was outplayed 6-4, 6-0 by James Duckworth of Australia in the second round. Sasi Kumar Mukund went down after winning the first set, in the first round to Kevin King of the US.

Fourth seeds Sriram Balaji and Arjun Kadhe were beaten 11-9 in the super tie-break of the doubles quarterfinals by Enrique Lopez Perez and Hiroki Moriya.

In the ITF women’s event in China, Natasha Palha and Saumya Vig won their doubles pre-quarterfinals in contrasting styles, with their respective partners Si Qi Liu of China and Izabela Gabriela Novac of Romania.
