Karman Kaur Thandi advances to quarters in China

The 20-year-old Karman, ranked 215 in the world, made the doubles semifinals as well with Kate Swann of Britain.

Leander Paes and Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan, seeded No.1 and No.2 with Miguel Angel Reyes-Varela and Austin Krajicek respectively, made it to the doubles semifinals in the Challenger in France.

Sriram Balaji in partnership with Saketh Myneni also made the doubles semifinals of the Challenger in China, while Ramkumar Ramanathan in partnership with Aleksandr Nedovyesov of Kazakhstan was beaten in the quarterfinals by the top seeds Cheng-Penng Hsieh of Chinese Taipei and Christopher Rungkat of Indonesia.

Qualifier Vaidehi Chaudhari stretched her good run and made the quarterfinals of the ITF women’s tournament in Egypt.
