Leander Paes in Dubai quarterfinals

Leander Paes and Guillermo Garcia-Lopez were leading in the doubles quarterfinals.

Leander Paes and Spain's Guillermo Garcia-Lopez were up 7-6(3), 2-4 against  third seeds Daniel Nestor of Canada and Edouard Roger-Vasselin of France in the doubles quarterfinals when rain stopped play in the ATP Tour event in Dubai on Thursday.

Earlier, Leander and Garcia-Lopez sailed past qualifiers James Cerretani of the US and Philipp Oswald of Austria losing just six games.

In the $15,000 ITF Futures in the US, Ramkumar Ramanathan made the singles second round and the doubles semifinals.
