Top seeds, Leander Paes in partnership with Miguel Angel Reyes-Varela, were beaten 6-3, 2-6, 11-9 by the second seeds Cheng-Peng Hsieh and Christopher Rungkat in doubles final of the $54,160 Challenger tennis tournament in Vietnam on Saturday.

The defeat notwithstanding, it was a good preparation for the Indo-Mexican pair, which had earlier lost a marathon super tie-break in the quarterfinals of the ATP event in Pune, for the Australian Open.
