Ilkley Trophy: Leander Paes reaches doubles semifinals

Leander Paes and his New Zealand partner Marcus Daniell reached the semifinal of the Ilkley Trophy in England.

Paes and Marcus Daniell will meet the pair of Purav Raja and Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan in the semis.

Leander Paes in partnership with Marcus Daniell of New Zealand beat Matt Reid and John-Patrick Smith of Australia 6-7(4), 7-6(3), 10-7 in the doubles quarterfinals of Ilkley Trophy in England.

In the semifinals, the second seeded pair Paes and Daniell is scheduled to play fourth seeds Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan and Purav Raja.

In the ITF men’s Futures in Zimbabwe, S.D. Prajwal Dev beat the third seed Lucas Catarina of Montenegro 1-6, 6-2, 6-3 to make the semifinals. He also made the doubles semifinals with Rishi Reddy.
