10:11pm: CAROLINE WOZNIACKI IS OUT OF WIMBLEDON 2018!!

Ekaterina Makarova sends the second seed packing with a 6-4, 1-6, 7-5 victory on her sixth match point.

Undoubtedly, grass is Wozniacki's least favourite surface. The Australian Open champion never been beyond the fourth round at the All-England Club. On the other hand, Makarova has gotten to the quarterfinals before and will be hoping to make it at least that far this year.

With this, five of the top eight seeds in the women's singles draw are out of Wimbledon 2018:  No.2 Caroline Wozniacki, No.4 Sloane Stephens, No.5 Evina Svitolina, No.6 Caroline Garcia and No.8 Petra Kvitova.

10:09pm: Serena Williams wins her second round match against Viktoriya Tomova 6-1, 6-4. All in a day's work for the seven-time singles champion.

10:06pm: Makarova leads 6-5 in the final set. Wozniacki to serve.

9:58pm: Makarova sends her fourth match point into the net. She hands Wozniacki a break point and then double faults to send the set back on serve.

9:43pm: Serena survives a break point to go up 3-1 in the second set.

Meanwhile, Wozniacki is on the brink! She's down 1-5 in the deciding set.

9:34pm: Wozniacki is down a break in the third set against Makarova.

MATCH REPORT: Federer takes sets streak to 26 at Wimbledon

9:25pm: Serena Williams hammers her way to a 6-1 first set.

9:15pm: Wozniacki takes the second set 6-1.

On Centre Court, Serena is serving at 3-1 against Tomova.

9:05pm: Makarova's game has abandoned her. Wozniacki races to a 4-0 lead in the second set after losing the first.

8:55pm: Serena Williams is due to begin her second-round match on Centre Court. Her opponent today is Viktoriya Tomova, the world No.135 who came through three qualifying matches and is playing in the second round of Grand Slam for the first time.

8:50pm: Lucie Šafářová dumps former world No.2 Agnieszka Radwańska, seeded 32nd, out of Wimbledon 2018 with a 7-5, 6-4 victory.

8:27pm: Seed number 32, Agnieszka Radwanska is struggling against Lucie Safarova. Safarova is serving for the match at 7-5, 5-2.

8:17pm: Meanwhile, ninth seed John Isner wins the first set against Ruben Behelmans 6-1.

MATCH REPORT: Venus rolls over qualifier after slow start

8:15pm: Federer wins the second set 6-4.

8:10pm: Caroline Wozniacki's first round match against Ekaterina Makarova is underway. She trails 2-1 in the first set.

7:53pm: In a thrilling five-setter that went right down to the wire, the duo of Dusan Lajovic and Mirza Basic got the better of Purav Raja and Fabrice Martin to register a 6-2, 6-4, 6-7, 4-6, 11-9 win to advance to the next round.

7:20pm: Daniil Medvedev defeats Guillermo Garcia-Lopez in straight sets. 6-3, 6-4, 6-2

7:10pm: On Centre Court, Lukáš Lacko serves to Roger Federer to begin their second-round match.

7:06pm: Dennis Novak defeats Lucas Pouille 6-4, 6-2, 6-7 (8-10), 3-6, 6-2.

Brave stuff from the French 17th seed, though he ended up on the losing side today. After going two sets down, he took the match into the fifth set. After going 0-2 down, he levelled the decider. But Dennis Novak had the edge today, taking four games in a row to progress to the third round of a Grand Slam for the first time.

7:00pm: Gaël Monfils wins the second set to make it one-all against Paolo Lorenzi, while Sam Querrey is two sets up against Sergiy Stakhovsky.
