Gilles Simon, the defending champion, set up a mouthwatering semifinal clash with Kevin Anderson, with a come-from-behind win over Benoit Paire on Day 5 of the Maharashtra Open.

11.02pm Gilles Simon comes from behind to beat Benoit Paire 3-6 7-6 (4) 6-4 victory to progress to the semifinals, where he will face Kevin Anderson

10.50pm Gilles Simon holds serve to retain a service break and he now leads the third set 4-2.

7.15pm Rohan Bopanna/Divij Sharan win the match 6-7 (7), 6-4, 17-15.

6.52 Steve Darcis records a 7-5 6-2, straight-sets victory over Malek Jaziri, who beat Ramkumar Ramanathan last night.  He will play Ivo Karlovic in the semifinal tomorrow.

6.47pm Rohan Bopanna/Divij Sharan win the second set 6-4, riding on early break of serve. We go into a deciding third set.

6.25pm Rohan Bopanna/Divij Sharan record the first service break of the match and take a 2-1 lead in the second set.

6.15pm Steve Darcis receives treatment on the abdomen. He is back up and looks alright!

6.13pm Steve Darcis breaks Malek Jaziri to take the first set 7-5. In the men's doubles quarterfinal match, Leander Paes/Miguel Angel Reyes-Vareal win the tie-break and with it the set (7-6(4)).

6.02pm Rohan Bopanna/Divij Sharan hold serve to take a 6-5 lead.

6.00pm Huge forehand down the line. At 5-5, the game is at Adv-40! Steve Darcis's serving, Malek Jaziri has a break point.

5.53pm Good serves from Malek Jaziri, who serves two aces and hold serve to level the score 4-4. Steve Darcis then holds his serve to lead 5-4 and put pressure on Jaziri's service game.

5.50pm Bopanna/Sharan gift Paes/Reyes-Varela a break point which they don't cash in, though. The game goes to deuce and eventually, Bopanna/Sharan hold the serve to lead 4-3.

5.43pm Miguel Angel Reyes-Varela/Leander Paes hold serve to level the score 3-3 in the first set against Rohan Bopanna/Divij Sharan.

5.40pm Unforced errors from Malek Jaziri see him broken in the fourth game, but he redeems himself to break back immediately and get back on serve again. Steve Darcis ahead 3-2.

5:35pm Two games all after the first four service games. Rohan Bopanna/Divij Sharan on serve now.
