Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza and her Swiss partner Martina Hingis maintained their impressive run as they clinched their sixth women's doubles title of the year by winning the Guangzhou Open on Saturday.
The top seeded Indo-Swiss pair produced a dominant performance to claim a comfortable 6-3, 6-1 win over the Chinese duo of Shilin Xu and Xiaodi You in the summit clash that lasted nearly an hour.
Mirza and Hingis have won six women's doubles titles this year, including two Grand Slam titles at Wimbledon and the US Open, since joining forces in March.
Hingis had also won the mixed doubles title with Leander Paes on Saturday. The fourth seeded Indo-Swiss pair, edged past unseeded Americans Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Sam Querrey 6-4 3-6 10-7 in a tricky final to win their third Major title together this season.
