Andy Murray's second Wimbledon triumph strengthened his position as world number two but he continues to trail Novak Djokovic in the rankings.

Murray claimed his third grand slam title on Sunday with a straight-sets win over Milos Raonic at the All England Club, the Briton taking advantage of Djokovic's surprising early exit to go all the way.

Semi-finalist Tomas Berdych climbs a place to eighth, while Jo-Wilfried Tsonga is back in the top 10, benefiting at Richard Gasquet's expense.

Lucas Pouille 3 who lost to Berdych in the quarter-finals — is one of the biggest movers as he reaches a career-high 21 after a nine-place rise, while Great Britian's Marcus Willis rises 354 places to 418 after reaching the second round.

After claiming her seventh Wimbledon crown, Serena Williams continues to lead the way in the WTA rankings, with beaten finalist Angelique Kerber climbing two places to second.

She leaps above Garbine Muguruza and Agnieszka Radwanska after they were beaten in the second and fourth rounds respectively.

Serena's sister Venus continues her climb after reaching the last four, the 36-year-old up to seventh, while Svetlana Kuznetsova is back in the top 10.
