The Italian tied the knot with US Open champion Flavia Pennetta this month and started his grass-court season just a week before Wimbledon begins by seeing off Isner 6-0, 2-6, 10-5. Argentina's Del Potro, who opted to skip the French Open in order to concentrate on his campaign on grass, was a 6-2, 6-3 winner against Borna Coric in the glamorous exhibition tournament at Stoke Park. Janko Tipsarevic also made a victorious start in Buckinghamshire on Tuesday, getting the better of Nicolas Almagro 6-2 7-6 (8-6) in an event which attracts the well-heeled. There was also success for Viktor Troicki in the final match of four, overcoming Jeremy Chardy 7-5 6-4. World number one Novak Djokovic will also be in action this week in an event that finishes on Saturday.
