Paes makes first-round exit in Kremlin Cup

Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan in partnership with Andrei Vasilevski of Belarus was beaten 6-3, 6-2 in a similar $635,645 ATP tournament in Belgium, by Nicholas Monroe of the US and Artem Sitak of New Zealand.

In the $100,000 ITF women’s event Ankita Raina was beaten by qualifier Julia Wachaczyk of Germany in the first round. Sasi Kumar Mukund sailed into the quarterfinals of the $25,000 ITF men’s event in Nigeria, but was beaten in the first round of doubles. The Indian players, Prarthana Thombare, Kyra Shroff and Dhruthi Venugopal made the doubles semifinals. Prarthana did it with Valentini Grammatikopoulou of Greece, while Kyra and Dhruthi combined.

In the $10,000 men’s event in Vietnam, Niki Poonacha and Rishab Agarwal missed a matchpoint in the super tie-break in the quarterfinals of doubles against Chang Yu and Wang Aoran of China.
