Leander Paes, in partnership with Purav Raja, made the doubles semifinals of the $1,0674,715 St. Petersburg Open ATP tennis tournament in Russia.

The Indian pair cruised past Marcus Daniell and Marcelo Demoliner in the quarterfinals after having subdued James Cerretani and Fabio Fognini.

In the $75,000 Challenger in Columbus, Ramkumar Ramanathan was beaten comprehensively by Filip Peliwo of Canada in the pre-quarterfinals. Ramkumar collected seven ATP points and $1290.
