Fourth seed Yuki Bhambri led 6-4, 3-4 against top seed Denis Istomin in the semifinals when rain interrupted in the $125,000 men’s Challenger tennis tournament in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on Friday.

The match will resume on Saturday, along with the other unfinished semi-final featuring second seed Ricardas Berankis of Lithuania and third seed Lukas Lacko of Slovakia.

In the $50,000 Challenger in Vietnam, fourth seed Saketh Myneni beat Tristan Lamasine in three sets to set up a semifinal clash against fifth seed Thomas Fabbiano of Italy, who put out top seed Marcel Granollers of Spain in straight sets.

In the $15,000 ITF men’s Futures in Houston, qualifier Rishab Agarwal set up a quarterfinal clash with second seed Matthew Reid of Australia. It was an extended run for the 19-year-old Rishab, who had won three rounds in the qualifying event, as he beat fellow qualifier Alexander Ritschard of Switzerland in the pre-quarterfinals. The 1258th ranked Rishab had earlier knocked out the 534th ranked seventh seed, Tigre Hank of Mexico, in three sets.

In another $15,000 event in Manila, Kunal Anand did well to make the quarterfinals but was outplayed by fourth seed Arata Onozawa of Japan.

In the $10,000 ITF women’s event in El Knataoui, Tunisia, Kyra Shroff upset second seed Diana Buzean of Romania in three sets before bowing out to Jessika Ponchet of France in the quarterfinals.
