Roger-Tecau duo wins US open doubles title

The Dutch-Romanian pair defeated the Spaniards 6-4, 6-3 to add to their Wimbledon triumph in 2015.

Jean-Julien Roger and Horia Tecau defeated Spaniards Feliciano Lopez and Marc Lopez in the men’s doubles final to claim their first ever title at the US Open on Friday.

The Dutch-Romanian pair defeated the Spaniards 6-4, 6-3 to add to their Wimbledon triumph in 2015. They were coming off a hard-fought semifinal win over top seed John Peers and Henri Kontinen on Tuesday.
