Rohan Bopanna, in partnership with Edourard Roger-Vasselin of France, was beaten 4-6, 6-4, 12-10 by second seeds Lukasz Kubot and Marcelo Melo in the doubles quarterfinals of the ATP tennis tournament in Beijing, China, on Friday.
The quarterfinal entry was worth 90 ATP points and USD 27,830 for the Indo-French pair.

In the Challenger in Mexico, Leander Paes, seeded No.1 with Miguel Angel Reyes-Varela, and Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan, seeded third with Marcelo Arevalo, made the doubles semifinals.
In the women’s event in Australia, Rutuja Bhosale lost the singles quarterfinals and the doubles final.
In another women’s event in Lagos, Pranjala Yadlapalli made the singles final.
