Rutuja Bhosale in $25,000 ITF women singles quarterfinals, doubles semifinals

Qualifier Rutuja Bhosale continued with her good game and knocked out fourth seed Su Jeong Jang of Korea 2-6, 6-1, 7-5 in the first round of the $25,000 ITF women’s tennis tournament in Australia on Wednesday.

Rutuja made the doubles semifinals as well with Shilin Xu of China.

In a similar tournament in Lagos, Nigeria, Pranjala Yadlapalli beat National champion Riya Bhatia 6-4, 6-4 to make the quarterfinals.

In the men’s Futures in Nigeria, Aryan Goveas made the quarterfinals.
