Sania Mirza bows out of semifinal in Doha

Second seeds Sania Mirza and Barbora Strycova of the Czech Republic were beaten by fourth-seeded Abigail Spears of the US and Katarina Srebotnik of Slovenia 6-3, 1-6, 10-8 in the doubles semifinal of the USD 776,000 WTA women’s tennis tournament in Doha.

In the quarterfinal she and her doubles partner beat Gabriela Dabrowski (Can) and Darija Jurak (Cro) 6-4, 6-3.   -  V. V. Subrahmanyam
