The Indian players had a tough time in Singapore, as Sidharth Rawat and Sanam Singh were beaten in the first round of singles.

Karunuday Singh fought his way into the second round in Thailand, with a 3-6, 6-3, 7-5 victory over Mousheg Hovhannisyan of the US.

In the ITF women’s event in Bosnia and Herzegovina, national champion Riya Bhatia sailed into the second round. In Korea, four-time national champion Prerna Bhambri outclassed seventh seed Nudnida Luangnam of Thailand for the loss of three games.
