Banja Luka Challenger: Sumit Nagal finishes runner up

Sixth seed Sumit Nagal suffered a straight-sets defeat to Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor.

Seventh seed Tallon Griekspoor of the Netherlands scotched the aspirations of sixth seed Sumit Nagal with a 6-2, 6-3 victory in the final of the €46,600 Challenger tennis tournament in Banja Luka, Bosnia & Herzegovina, on Sunday.

The defeat apart, it was a breakthrough performance for Sumit, who is supported by Virat Kohli Foundation, after five semifinal appearances in Challengers this season.

Sumit who had won his maiden Challenger in Bengaluru in 2017, collected 48 ATP points and € 3,650. The champion pocketed 80 points and € 6,190.
