Using data from Opta, we take a look at a host of interesting facts and figures relating to the men's singles at SW19.

 - Djokovic is the second player in the Open Era to win four grand slams in a row after Rod Laver (1969). The Serbian is the fifth player in the Open Era to win all four slams in his career, after Laver, Andre Agassi, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.

- Djokovic has reached the semi-final stage of 23 of the last 24 slams. The only exception was his loss against Stan Wawrinka in the 2014 Australian Open quarter-finals.

- The world number one has not lost against an unseeded player in a slam since he was beaten by Marat Safin in Wimbledon 2008.

- Djokovic has won 41 of his last 42 slam matches, including the last 28. His only defeat in the former run was in the 2015 French Open final against Wawrinka.

- Murray has reached at least the quarter-finals in 20 of his last 21 slam appearances. These have produced two victories, six runner-up finishes, seven semi-final exits and five quarter-final defeats.

- Federer needs one more title at Wimbledon to stand alone as the most prolific male winner of the event. He is currently level with Pete Sampras as a seven-time champion.

- The last 13 men's singles finals at Wimbledon have all featured at least one of Federer, Nadal or Djokovic, with one of those lifting the title in every year but 2013, when Murray triumphed.

- Murray has finished as the runner-up in eight grand-slam finals. In the Open Era only Federer (10 times) and Ivan Lendl (11 times) have ended up on the losing side more often. Djokovic has also lost eight finals.

- Just three times this century has a player won a grand slam without losing a set (Federer - 2007 Australian Open, Nadal - 2008 & 2009 French Opens). The last player to achieve the feat at Wimbledon was Bjorn Borg in 1976.

- The last time a Wimbledon final featured two players from the same country was in 1999, when Sampras beat Agassi.

- Stan Wawrinka has won each of the slam finals he has competed in to date. Of players to win multiple titles in the Open Era, only Gustavo Kuerten (3/3) and Johan Kriek (2/2) also have a 100 per cent record in finals.
