Yuki Bhambri and Divij Sharan were beaten in the doubles final 6-4, 6-2 by second seeds Hans Podlipnik-Castillo Chile and Andrei Vasilevski of Belarus in Uzbekistan on Friday.

It was a setback for the Indian pair, which had started its campaign by beating the top seeds. The champions collected 125 ATP points and $9,300 and the runners-up had to be content with 75 ATP points and $5,400.

In the $25,000 ITF women’s event in France, Karman Kaur Thandi overcame the strains of a hamstring pull and a twisted ankle to make the doubles final with Samantha Murray of Britain.
