Yuvan Nandal sustained the Indian hopes by beating second seed Suphawat Saeoui of Thailand 5-7, 6-2, 6-4 in the boys semifinals of the Asian under-14 Development Championship in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on Friday.

In the final, Yuvan will challenge the top seed and champion of the first tournament last week, Max Batutenko of Kazakhstan who beat Agriya Yadav 6-1, 6-4.

After Pari Singh had made the girls final in the first week, it was a good follow up by the Indian boys to book a final berth in the second tournament.

The top players from the championship will make the ITF Asian team for the European circuit.
