Happy Diwali: Sportspersons extend wishes to fans

Sachin Tendulkar wished his fans in a unique manner, posting a video without any background audio.

Sporting heroes from across the length and breadth of the country came together to extend Diwali wishes to their fans on Sunday.

Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar found an innovative way to convey his fans the idea of a noise-free Diwali. He uploaded a video on Twitter without any background audio to go along with it. The message read: "I AM CELEBRATING A NOISE-FREE DIWALI THIS YEAR & ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO DO THE SAME."

 

Ace shuttler Saina Nehwal, tennis star Sania Mirza and chess player Tania Sachdev could all be seen flaunting their ethnic attire on social media handles.

 

Wrestler Bajrang Punia also tweeted out a video on behalf of his own family wishing everyone a happy and safe Deepavali.

Social media was abuzz with #HappyDiwali tweets, mostly coming in from the Indian cricket fraternity.

India coach Ravi Shastri, opener Shikhar Dhawan, Chennai Super Kings star Suresh Raina, Kings XI Punjab coach Anil Kumble were among those who extended their best wishes to fans across the country.

"Let the joy and spirit of Diwali give you and your family light, peace, prosperity and happiness. Wishing all of you a very #HappyDiwali ," tweeted Dhawan.

 

Kumble posted, "Hope this Deepavali gives you and your family lots of joy, happiness and prosperity. Wishing everyone a joyful and Happy Deepavali."

The Blue Tigers did their bit, as well. Skipper Sunil Chhetri, Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, Sandesh Jhingan, Pritam Kotal, Anirudh Thapa, Kalamjit Singh, and Amrinder Singh, were all part of a video shot by the All India Football Federation.
