Agnieszka Radwanska won a sixth consecutive final by claiming a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Johanna Konta at the China Open on Sunday.
Konta impressed in reaching her second final of the season, climbing into the world's top 10 in the process, but was powerless to stop 2011 champion Radwanska sweeping her aside in Beijing.
Radwanska has not dropped a set during the tournament — a feat she also achieved in winning in Shenzhen and Connecticut this year — and wasted little time in landing the first blow in a match that lasted an hour and 35 minutes.
An early break of serve put the Pole on the front foot and a second to go 5-2 up proved insurmountable for Konta.
The Briton battled to hold serve in the opening game of the second set, but it was not long before Radwanska was once again putting her opponent under pressure.
The World No. 3 converted her fifth break point to make the first gain and was 5-1 in front when a problem with the overhead stadium lights caused a momentary delay, having recovered from 15-40 to hold serve.
Konta held off the inevitable by winning the first game after play resumed, but Radwanska served out the match to clinch a third career WTA Premier Mandatory title.
The win stretches Radwanska's run of consecutive final victories, stretching back to the Toray Pan Pacific Open in September last year.
She joins Serena Williams, Victoria Azarenka and Maria Sharapova in an exclusive group of players to have won three or more Premier Mandatory titles.
