Caroline Wozniacki is into her fifth US Open semifinals.

Caroline Wozniacki is into yet another US Open semifinal, ending the fairytale run of Anastasija Sevastova with a crushing win on Tuesday.

The Dane, a two-time runner-up at Flushing Meadows, claimed a 6-0, 6-2 victory over Sevastova, who battled a right ankle injury.

Unseeded after an average year heading to New York, the win means Wozniacki is into a US Open semifinal for a fifth time.

The last-eight clash at a quiet Arthur Ashe Stadium was rarely a contest, with Wozniacki only challenged in the opening games.

Her good start turned into a 31-minute first-set win, and that included a medical timeout for Sevastova as she required treatment.

In her maiden grand slam quarterfinal, Sevastova – who came out of retirement at the start of 2015 – seemed only to continue because of the occasion.

Wozniacki kept her concentration, however, and was ruthless to set up a final-four clash with World No. 2 Angelique Kerber.

Kerber leads their head-to-head 7-5, but Wozniacki holds the upper-hand 5-4 on hard courts.
