Seven interviewed for NCA job

The incumbent batting coach and spin bowling coach at the BCCI's Bangalore-based National Cricket Academy W.V. Raman and Narendra Hirwani were among the seven interviewed for the same post at the Cricket Centre, here, on Monday.

The two joined the NCA in 2016. Their contracts expired on March 14 this year, but were given a three-month extension after a CoA meeting, here, on April 12.

Other noted cricketers interviewed were Sunil Joshi (con-call from Kingston, Jamaica), Sujith Somasunder, Diwakar Vasu, M. Venkatramana (con-call from Chennai) and Ramesh Powar.
