Smriti Mandhana broke into the Indian team in 2013, when she was just 17.

The southpaw hogged the limelight in 2017, when India reached the final of the 50-over World Cup. Opening the innings, she slammed knocks of 90 (against England) and 106 against the West Indies.

Featuring in the Women’s Big Bash League, Smriti has scored 144 runs in five innings for Hobart Hurricanes.

She took the Kia Women’s T20 Super League for Western Storm hammering a sixty-ball 100 to help her side beat Lancashire Thunder.

Smriti ended the T20 tournament as the highest scorer, having blazed 421 runs in 10 matches at an average of 60.14.

The Maharashtra-born player scored just 178 runs in five innings in the World T20 in November.
