Pospisil sets up Djokovic Eastbourne clash

It will be Novak Djokovic up next for Vasek Pospisil after the Canadian's first-round triumph in Eastbourne.

Vasek Pospisil set up a second-round meeting with Novak Djokovic at the Aegon International.

The Canadian will meet the number one seed after a 6-3, 6-4 triumph over Jiri Vesely in Eastbourne.

American duo Jared Donaldson and Donald Young each needed three sets to secure a meeting with one another.

Donaldson beat eighth seed Diego Schwartzman 7-6 (7-5), 3-6, 7-5, while Young also overcame a second-set wobble to down home hope Kyle Edmund 6-4, 3-6, 6-3.

Fifth seed Gael Monfils will take on Cameron Norrie after the Briton knocked out Horacio Zeballos, and Kevin Anderson overcame Thomaz Bellucci 6-3, 6-1.

Meanwhile, Bernard Tomic defeated Norbert Gombos 7-6 (7-3), 6-3 and Robin Haase beat Nicolas Mahut 6-4, 7-6 (7-4).

Also on the ATP Tour, Marcos Baghdatis was among the first-round winners at the Antalya Open.

The Cypriot beat Nikoloz Basilashvili 6-2, 6-1 and will now meet Carlos Berlocq in the next round, where the pair will be joined by Yuichi Sugita, Ramkumar Ramanathan, Radu Albot and Mohamed Safwat.
