Andhra finds itself in a conundrum of sorts with inadequate training

In a bizzare incident, the Andhra Ranji team had to cancel its training session on Wednesday as the team members' kit bags haven't reached Chennai. The team, which arrived in the city on Tuesday evening, has only spent time relaxing at a city hotel without any professional practice session.

With just one day to go before the it takes on Tamil Nadu in its Ranji Trophy opener, Andhra finds itself in a conundrum of sorts with inadequate training. The kits are being transported by road from Visakhapatnam and the consignment is scheduled to reach Chennai on Wednesday night.

A team source said it was highly disappointing to see the callous attitude of the state association.

"At the end of the day, the players represent the state. The association shouldn't have taken costs into consideration at this juncture and should have flown the kits to Chennai immediately. It is high time the BCCI frame some guidelines for these logistical issues too," the source lamented.
