Justice Srikrishna says BCCI is correct in TNPL issue

Earlier, the TNCA had questioned BCCI in a hard-hitting letter since it felt there were no clear rules drafted by the BCCI with regard to outstation players.

The retired judge of the Supreme Court, Justice B.N.Srikrishna, said that the board's decision not to allow outstation players, representing their States in the TNPL, is correct.

The BCCI has been told by the retired judge of the Supreme Court, Justice B.N.Srikrishna, that its decision not to allow outstation players, representing their States in the BCCI domestic tournaments  in the Tamil Nadu Premier League (Twenty20 League), is correct.

The BCCI consulted Justice Srikrishna after it received a letter from the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) which stated that the "BCCI has not framed any regulations in the past several decades for regulating grant or refusal of permission and that at various points of time the BCCI has permitted (actively or tacitly) the so called outstation players to play in various tournaments of State associations."

The BCCI has conveyed Justice Srikrishna's decision to the Committee of Administrators.
