Uthappa replaces Karun Nair in KPL

Robin Uthappa had featured for Saurashtra last season, but is eligible to play in the Karnataka Premier League as he is a KSCA-registered player.

Robin Uthappa will be seen in action in the Karnataka Premier League, beginning on September 3rd.

Robin Uthappa has replaced Karun Nair in the Karnataka Premier League (KPL) player auction pool, the KSCA announced here on Thursday.

Karun will miss the KPL as he has been selected for the Indian Test team to tour England. Uthappa featured for Saurashtra last season, but is eligible to play in the KPL as he is a KSCA-registered player. 

"Robin is a Karnataka boy. He has domicile status, and he is registered as a player for Swastic Union in the KSCA league. So his eligibility to Splay in the KPL is not in question," KSCA Secretary Santosh Menon said, at the launch ceremony here.
