India beat England by seven runs in a last-over thriller.

Hello and welcome to the highlights of the third ODI between India and England from the MCA Stadium in Pune.

That is all from us. It is the end of India's international home season. In a few days time, all the players will disperse to their respective IPL sides and begin the preparation for the two-month extravaganza. Until then, it is good bye and stay safe.

Kohli collects the trophy and hands it to the team. The squad pose for photos.

India captain, Virat Kohli: When the top-two battle each other, we'll get exciting games. No one will throw in the towel, and Sam played a really good innings to keep them in the hunt. However, our bowlers picked up wickets, and it moved from us finishing it off to them getting over the line before Hardik and Nattu pulled it back. There's no lack of intent, and our body language was outstanding. Eventually we got over the line.   I'm surprised Shardul wasn't the man of the match, and Bhuvi wasn't the man of the series.Prasidh and Krunal were impressive but death overs batting was extremely good. This win has been sweet because it's against the top team in the world, and we're looking forward to the IPL. It's been an amazing season, series, and this was a great way to finish it off.

Jonny Bairstow, Player of the series:  I've been pleased with my striking, but we'd like to be on the winning side. Today, it just wasn't meant to be. I didn't score a lot in the Tests, but it was pleasing to come back and do well in the white-ball leg and I'll be taking the confidence into the IPL.We know Bhuvi's skills, and I think getting outside off is the way to counter it. We had a conversation about it and we played him in the Sunrisers' camp, so we'll have practice against him, don't worry about that. Curran was special wasn't he? He's played out of his skin, and we know the quality and talent he has, and the belief he had to take us over the line, but congratulations to Nattu and how he executed the yorkers at the death.

Sam Curran, Player of the match: We didn't win the game, but happy with the way I played. I love winning, but it was a great experience. I haven't done that for England for a long time, but in the end we lost. I wanted to take the majority of the balls and take it deep. It was hard to defend, but Natarajan bowled really well in the end and shows why he's a really good bowler. I realized that one side was shorter and Bhuvi is a fantastic bowler so I played him out. Looking forward to the IPL in these conditions in a few weeks time.

England captain, Jos Buttler: A fantastic game, both sides made some mistakes but played some brilliant cricket. We witnessed an incredible knock from Sam Curran to nearly get us over the line. I know he will be disappointed he didn't get us over the line, but we are all very proud of him and his performance. Congratulations to India on winning. We've learnt a lot as a side and seen many guys stand up and take the lead. The white-ball leg was incredibly competitive. These are the conditions we will face in the near future in the World Cup. It's a great experience for the young guys to play a top-class side like India and they will be better cricketers for it.We didn't have those big partnerships to take us over the line. We've played excellent cricket for a number of years, the talent pool in white-ball cricket is growing and creates competition in the squad.

WOW! What a game we have had. Bhuvneshwar gave India the perfect start, removing Jason Roy and Jonny Bairstow inside the Powerplay. Natarajan and Shardul Thakur then removed Stokes and Buttler to put India on top.

Malan and Livingstone began the rebuild, but when Shardul removed both in quick succession, it looked like Inda would wrap things up quickly.

But, who knew, that Sam Curran would rally the tail in a supremely calm rearguard action which would bring England so close to a win. Eventually, though, India somehow managed to holds its nerve and clinch the narrowest of victories. Stay tuned for the presentation.

ENGLAND 322/9 in 50 overs: INDIA WIN THE SERIES 2-1. They win the final ODI by seven runs. Curran smacks a full ball on middle stump to long-on, does not take a run and ends unbeaten on 95.

Four runs. Curran smacks a full ball to the boundary but India almost there.

Excellent work from Natarajan. He gets the yorker right. 12 from 3

There is a run-out appeal for Wood at the keeper's end. He looks short. England nine down. Curran, who slipped at the bowling end, is distraught.

Final over of the game. England needs 14 runs for victory. India needs two wickets.

ENGLAND 316/8 in 49 overs: India is buckling under pressure. First, Shardul Thakur spills a catch at deep mid-on to give Wood a reprieve. Off the next ball, Curran skies one high in the air, and Natarajan is unable to latch on to the chance at third man. Despite those lapses, it is a fine over by Hardik, who gives just five runs in the penultimate over of the innings.

ENGLAND 311/8 in 48 overs: Hardik concedes seven runs in his eighth over, and India won't mind that at this stage. Curran drives the game forward for England by taking 18 runs from Thakur's last over. Kohli banks on Bhuvneshwar to deliver and his lead bowler concedes four runs. WOW! WOW! It has gotten real close.

ENGLAND 282/8 in 45 overs:   India's second-best bowler on the day- Bhuvneshwar Kumar- goes for just one run in his ninth over. Curran takes nine runs from Natarajan's penultimate over, including a mighty six over the left-armer's head. India's best bowler on the day- Shardul Thakur- goes for three runs in his ninth over. Curran has kept England in the game, even if marginally.

ENGLAND 269/8 in 42 overs: Thakur does the trick for India, removing Rashid for 19, but that wicket should belong to Kohli, who dives to his left at covers to take a one-handed screamer. Hardik follows up that over by giving just two runs in his seventh. Natarajan, bowling his eighth, goes for eight runs. Curran, who has reached his maiden ODI fifty, has Wood and Topley for company.  He would want to take this match as deep as possible.

First ODI fifty for Sam Curran. It has come in 45 balls.

ENGLAND 256/7 in 39 overs: Curran and Rashid have put on a stand in excess of 50 runs, ensuring the required run-rate has never skyrocketed. Prasidh bowls the first economical over of his spell, but Hardik is guilty of leaking runs, giving away nine in his sixth over. Kohli gets Bhuvneshwar back and India loses its last review after an lbw appeal is not reversed, with the ball pitching outside leg-stump. He, however, gives just three singles in his over. India needs wickets.

ENGLAND 242/7 in 36 overs: Nothing seems to be going right for Prasidh today as not only does he go for nine runs in his sixth over, but Hardik drops a catch of his bowling to give Curran a life on 22. That is backed by yet another poor over from Natarajan, who concedes 12 runs. They the take seven runs from Thakur's over. This pair is just about keeping England in the game.

ENGLAND 214/7 in 33 overs: Bhuvneshwar removes Moeen to break what seemed like a threatening stand, caught by Hardik at mid-off for 29. Hardik concedes nine runs in his fifth over. Rashid on-drives Bhuvneshwar for four in his seventh over. England has not thrown in the towel yet.

ENGLAND 196/6 in 30 overs: Besides removing Stokes, Natarajan has had a poor day in the office as Moeen takes 15 runs off his sixth over. Prasidh endures another difficult over, conceding eight in his fifth over as Curran cuts him behind square for four. Just four singles from Hardik's fourth over.

ENGLAND 169/6 in 27 overs: India in control as Shardul follows up the wicket of Livingstone with the dismissal of Malan for 50. Moeen Ali walks in and smacks Krunal Pandya for a six. Hardik comes in for a new spell and goes for just one run. With only the bowlers left to come, this looks like a stiff chase for the visitors.

David Malan brings up his first ODI fifty in 48 balls.

ENGLAND 156/5 in 24 overs: Shardul removes Liam Livingstone, caught and bowled off a full toss. Krunal Pandya needs to provide a bit more control with the ball. He goes for seven runs in his third over. This looks like a tall ask for England, even though they are keeping up with the required run-rate.

ENGLAND 142/4 in 21 overs: Krunal Pandya comes in for a bowl, and India loses a review after the lbw appeal against Malan is not overturned, with hawk-eye showing the ball missing the stumps. He gives away just four runs in his 1st over. Kohli brings Prasidh on, and he bowls yet another poor over, giving away 13 runs. The pair carry that momentum into the next over, taking 10 from Krunal Pandya's second over. India cannot afford to relax at this stage.

First sign of spin as Krunal Pandya is introduced in the attack.

ENGLAND 115/4  in 18 overs: Shardul gets Buttler lbw for 18. Umpire Anil Chaudhary has to reverse his original decision after India take a review. However, Malan and Livingstone take 14 runs off his next over. Hardik makes an economical comeback, by giving just three runs in his second over. India looks favourites to clinch the match and, with it, the series.

ENGLAND 95/3 in 15 overs: The wicket of Ben Stokes seems to have helped Natarajan settle down as he bowls his first economical over of the day, conceding two runs in his fifth over. Kohli seems to have seen enough of Prasidh for now and brings on Shardul Thakur, who concedes eight runs in his first over with Buttler playing a lovely drive for four. Hardik Pandya is introduced into the attack, and he goes for nine runs in his first over.

ENGLAND 76/3 in 12 overs: Natarajan removes the dangerous-looking Ben Stokes for 35, caught by Shikhar Dhawan on the square leg boundary. Prasidh is bowling at a good pace, but his opening spell has been a touch expensive. He concedes 15 runs in his second over and eight in his third. England's run-rate is good, but India has made dents at crucial intervals.

ENGLAND 51/2 in 9 overs: The two wickets seem to have done a world of good to Bhuvneshwar's confidence as he concedes just a couple of runs in his fourth over and backs that with just one run in his fifth. Kohli makes the first change of the evening, as Natarajan is replaced by Prasidh Krishna, who gives away seven runs in his first over. England brings up its fifty.

ENGLAND 41/2 in 6 overs: Natarajan endures yet another costly over, giving away seven runs in his second over. Bhuvneshwar bowls the first tidy over of his spell, giving away just two runs in his third over. Ben Stokes receives a life on 15, as a mistimed lofted shot is dropped by Hardik Pandya. A wayward Natarajan gives away four runs of his third over.

Ben Stokes is dropped by Hardik Pandya on 15.

ENGLAND 28/2 in 3 overs: Bhuvneshwar Kumar gives India the perfect start, removing both openers cheaply. He removes Roy with an incoming ball and then Bairstow shuffles a bit too much to an incoming ball and is given out lbw. Natarajan shares the new ball with him and starts expensively, conceding eight runs in his first over. What a start for India.

Bairstow and Roy walk out to the middle. Bhuvneshwar Kumar will start proceedings for India.

WELCOME BACK FOR THE FINAL INNINGS OF THIS SERIES!

The inclusion of T Natarajan means India has Krunal Pandya as the lone spin bowling option. Natarajan gives the team a left-arm seam bowling option. It will be interesting to see how Kohli uses him.

In the first two ODIs, England's opening batsmen- Jason Roy and Jonny Bairstow- have put on 135 and 110 runs, respectively. India will have to remove one of them early to expose the rest of the batting unit early.

What a topsy-turvy batting performance from India. It began with Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma adding 103 runs for the first wicket. Then Adil Rashid removed the openers, and Moeen Ali scalped Virat Kohli, leaving India in a bit of bother.

However, Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya led India's recovery, putting on 99 runs for the fifth wicket. Just when it looked like India would post a score above 350, Curran returned to remove Pant before Ben Stokes clean bowled Pandya to leave the lower-order with a tall task.

Some disciplined death bowling from England meant India was bowled out for 329 runs in 48. 2 overs. England comfortably chased down 337 in the previous game. Can India avoid an encore? Join us in some time for England's chase. Hardik Pandya confirms during the mid-innings chat that he will bowl today.

- INNINGS BREAK -

INDIA 329/9 in 48 Overs: Krunal Pandya's misery comes to an end. Struggled to time the ball throughout the innings. Holes out for 25 off Mark Wood, who also removes Thakur and Prasidh Krishna. England have conceded just 38 runs in the last six overs, picking up a couple of wickets along the way. India could be bowled out before 50 overs.

INDIA 318/6 in 45 Overs: Krunal gets a reprieve as Rashid drops a tough chance off Ben Stokes's bowling. Meanwhile, Thakur gets a second six, this time off Topley. Follows it up with another maximum off Stokes. Krunal, meanwhile, has struggled to time the ball today. Not a single boundary off his blade yet.

INDIA 294/6 in 42 Overs: Thakur gets off the mark with a six off Wood. A short ball that's chest-high and Thakur just swivels it over long leg. Stokes bowls another miserly over, just three off it. Topley, who replaces Wood, is hit for four by Thakur.

INDIA 276/6 in 39 Overs: Hardik Pandya has been bowled around his legs by Ben Stokes! An unfortunate end to an excellent innings. He departs for 64. Huge wicket this for England. Shardul Thakur joins Krunal. Mark Wood has been brilliant in this second spell. Thakur and Bhuvi can bat but Hardik's dismissal will surely make a difference of at least 25-30 runs to the final total.

INDIA 256/5 in 36 Overs: Pant is out caught behind for 78! Brilliant catch by Buttler. Sam Curran with the breakthrough. Krunal Pandya joins his brother Hardik, who is nearing his 50. Pant and Hardik added 99 off 73 balls.

INDIA 221/4 in 33 Overs: Pant brings up a 44-ball 50 with a slog sweep for six. Both Pant and Hardik haven't let Rashid dictate terms. They've now added 64 together off 52 balls, and are ramping up for the death overs. By the way, still no word on Mark Wood. It will be a concern for England if he is unable to bowl anymore this innings.

INDIA 206/4 in 30 Overs: Hardik's in the mood as well - three sixes off Moeen's seventh. Stunning power-hitting from Hardik and Pant, especially given the circumstances. Both men have decided to take on the third spinner as well, a cracking cut shot off Livingstone for Hardik. Change of bowling as Topley returns into the attack. Hardik cuts him for four.

INDIA 170/4 in 27 Overs: Liam Livingstone comes into the attack and gets a second-ball wicket! Rahul has hit a full toss straight to Moeen at short fine leg. India in all sorts of trouble. Hardik joins Pant. So, it's the Pandyas, Pant and the tail. India's run rate isn't too bad (over 6), but it's the wickets column that's taken a dent. Pant has decided he will put Livingstone under pressure - a one-handed six and a four.

INDIA 156/3 in 24 Overs: Pant isn't going to hold back. He plays two outrageous shots off Rashid - first, an audacious flick off the legs and second, a scoop over his shoulder. What a player. India have crossed 150. By the way, Mark Wood is off the field. Good counterattack from Pant.

INDIA 137/3 in 21 Overs: England have taken three wickets in four overs. Talk about changing momentum! Moeen and Rashid rushing through a few quiet overs here. Pant though won't shy away from taking on the spinners, clobbers a maximum over cow corner off Rashid. That was the 53rd six of this ODI series.

INDIA 121/3 in 18 Overs: Rashid's on a roll. He has both the openers in a couple of overs! And then comes the stinker for India - Moeen Ali clean bowls Virat Kohli. India in a spot of bother. Pant and Rahul at the crease. After what looked like a promising start, India in a picke. The ball that got Kohli turned a bit from an off-stump line. Kohli was looking to hit it out through cover off the back foot but ended up losing his leg stump!

INDIA 110/1 in 15 Overs: Adil Rashid clean bowls Rohit Sharma with the perfect googly. Kohli joins Dhawan. Earlier, Dhawan brought up a 44-ball fifty, his second this series, with a boundary to midwicket. Rohit and Dhawan brought up their 17th 100-run partnership in ODIs. Only Sachin and Ganguly have more - 21. 100 up for India in 14 Overs. Meanwhile, Kohli's off the mark with a boundary first ball.

INDIA 84/0 in 12 Overs: The onslaught on Topley in his last over means Stokes replaces him. He concedes four as India reach 65 for 0 after the powerplay. Dhawan moves into the 40s with yet another boundary off Wood. And he concedes another boundary to finish, Rohit gliding one down to the third man. Rohit then scores the first boundary off Stokes, a cracking cut to third-man.

INDIA 61/0 in 9 Overs: Wood replaces Curran, who has gone for 21 in his first three overs. Wood, bowling north of 140 kph already, starts with a maiden. Dhawan, meanwhile, getting stuck into Topley, collecting three boundaries off his fourth. Rohit makes it 17 off the over with a four through deep mid-wicket. 50 up for India in 8 overs . Now, Dhawan greets Wood with a powerful drive between point and cover-point. India on a roll at the moment.

INDIA 36/0 in 6 Overs: Dhawan's first boundary is courtesy of a freebie from Topley. The left-armer bowls one down the leg side, and Dhawan tickles it away fine for four. Meanwhile, intent from Rohit as he collects back-to-back fours off Curran. Dhawan also gets one past the outstretched hand of the man at cover-point for his second boundary. 15 off Sam's third. Both openers looking to be more aggressive up front.

INDIA 11/0 in 3 Overs: Sam Curran takes the new ball, Rohit Sharma takes the strike. Curran and Reece Topley sharing the new-ball duties. Rohit and Dhawan would want to show a little more urgency in the Powerplay today. The hosts were 39 for 0 in the first match and 41 for 2 in the second. Both Rohit and Dhawan off the mark off their first balls. Rohit's first scoring shot is a classic cover drive off Topley. Just one run off Sam's second over.
