Welcome to the highlights of the fifth ODI between India Women and South Africa Women from the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.
Match result: India 188 all out in 49.3 overs lose to South Africa 189-5 in 48.2 overs.
That brings to an end the five-match ODI series between India and South Africa. The action now shifts to the T20I series, which begins at the same venue from Saturday. We will see you for that in a few days time. Till then, its goodbye!

Lizelle Lee, Player of the series: It is a great thing we won the series in the fourth ODI. It gave the others a chance today. If it wasnt for the bowlers, we might have chased over 300 runs. Our middle-order has been a big positive.
South Africa captain, Sune Luus: For us, we wanted to stamp out authority in the series by winning it 4-1. We pride ourselves on our bowling attack, the young ones coming through. We are lucky to have Anneke Bosch with us.
Player of the match, Anneke Bosch: Feels nice. Tried to keep it as simple as possible. Feels unreal to get to my first fifty in India. Rotating strike was the key. I have always liked batting against spin.
India captain, Mithali Raj: We do need some camps before the series, after a year long gap. The batting unit has been consistent. Overall, it has been a good series for us, except the result. All credit to South Africa for the way they have played. They attacked our spinners. We do have some young talent, but it is important how we give them the experience.
Mithali Raj and Harmanpreet Kaur are being felicitated for reaching their respective milestones in this series.
SUMMARY: South Africa has once again chased down a score in this series. However, it did not seem as straight forward as one thought it would be at the start of the afternoon.
Rajeshwari Gayakwad removed Laura Woolvardt and Lara Goodall to raise hopes of an Indian comeback. Then D Hemalatha removed Sune Luus to leave the visitors 27 for 3. But that is when Mignon du Preez and Anneke Bosch combined to add 96 runs for the fourth wicket, which took the game away from the Indians.
Prathyusha removed Bosch and Gayakwad got du Preez soon later to raise India's hopes, but those scalps came too little too late as Marizanne Kapp and Nadine de Klerk took their side home, with 10 balls to spare. Stay tuned for the post match presentation.

Welcome back! The final innings of this ODI series is about to commence. Sune Luus will open the batting with Laura Wolvaardt. Jhulan Goswami to start proceedings for India.
A disappointing batting performance from India. The top three batters all fell cheaply, leaving the side precariously placed at 53-3. Then captain Mithali Raj and vice-captain Harmanpreet Kaur steadied the ship, putting on 71 runs for the fourth wicket.
Then came the turning point in the innings as Kaur, suffering from cramps from the looks of it, walked off the field, retired hurt for 30. Since then, India found it difficult to get any momentum to their innings, as Raj saw wicket-after-wicket fall.
Eventually, they were bowled out for 188 with Raj unbeaten on 79. Can the bowlers now step up their game and clinch a win for their side or will South Africa romp home to a win? Join us in a while for the run chase.

India will be disappointed to not have Kaur in the middle right now, who did show signs of discomfort during the drinks break, when she popped a tablet with the physio in presence. Clearly, the discomfort was a bit too much for her to continue.

India 131 for 3 in 34 overs: Kapp drifts one down the leg side, Raj gets some bat on it, the ball beats the wicket-keeper and goes for four. Five runs from that over.

Concern for India: Harmanpreet Kaur has retired hurt and walked off the field. D Hemalatha has joined Raj in the middle. South Africa will be relieved.
These two pros have steadied India's innings. Playing risk-free cricket, Raj and Kaur have added 71 runs for the fourth wicket, that has brought India back into the match.
The Batting Powerplay will be in effect in a few overs time and those five overs could be pivotal, in deciding which way this innings goes in.

India 100 for 3 in 27 overs: Bosch gives a gentle full toss on leg stump and Raj makes good use of it, placing it beside the mid on fielder for four. First four in six overs for India. Six runs from that which also brought up India's 100.

India 90 for 3 in 25 overs: Just two singles coming from that Sekhukhune over. Good couple of overs for the visitors.

India 88 for 3 in 23 overs: Sloppy from South Africa! Back-to-back misfields, this time from Ismail at mid on, gives Raj a boundary. Six runs coming from that Sekhukhune over. The stand between these two now worth 35 runs.
India 82 for 3 in 22 overs: A misfield by the cover fielder gives Kaur her second boundary. Bending down on one knee, the batswoman strokes the ball towards covers and gets a boundary, thanks to the fielder's error. Six runs from that Bosch over.
India 76 for 3 in 21 overs: Just two runs coming from that over.
India 74 for 3 in 20 overs: Just a solitary run from Bosch's first over. This stand between Raj and Kaur has now crossed 20 runs.

India 73 for 3 in 19 overs: Kaur gets her first boundary with a square drive off Klerk. Good last couple of overs for the Indians. Four runs coming from it.
India 69-3 in 18 overs: SIX! Raj steps down the track and lofts one over Shangase's head and it goes all the way. A good over for India. Nine runs coming from it.
India 60 for 3 in 17 overs: Ismail's first over of the new spell goes for two singles. India's scoring rate is down to a trickle.

India 58 for 3 in 16 overs: Just a wide from that Shangase over, which saw Kaur jump out of the crease a couple of times.
Both Raj and Kaur have some thinking to do, as to how they begin the rebuild from here. Losing Raut and Mandhana in almost consecutive balls has dealt a big blow for the hosts and it is now upto the pros to rescue them.
South Africa will hope to remove one of them soon and expose India's inexperienced lower middle-order.

India 57 for 3 in 15 overs: This is a good phase for South Africa. They have taken two wickets and put the brakes on the Indian scoring rate. Just two coming from that over.
India 55 for 3 in 14 overs: Tidy over from Sekhukhune. Just two runs coming from it.
The captain Raj and vice-captain Kaur have swapped batting positions and have a real task on their hands in rebuilding this innings for their side. South Africa will be absolutely elated at this stage.
India 53 for 3 in 13 overs: The wicket and a wide coming from that Sekhukhune over.
India in 12.1 overs: WICKET! Mandhana falls immediately. A short ball from Sekhukhune and the southpaw pulls the ball straight to du Preez at the mid-wicket boundary. The hosts in trouble.
India 52 for 2 in 12 overs: WICKET! Raut falls early for India. She goes for the sweep, the ball takes the top edge and it is caught by de Klerk at fine leg. Huge blow for the Indians and an equally big fillip for South Africa.

India 25-1 in 6 overs: Punia looked promising in her short stay in the middle, but was undone by Kapp. Lack of feet movement from her in her dismissal was concerning.

India in 6 overs: WICKET! Kapp gets Punia. An incoming delivery beats the batter all ends up and knocks her stumps off.
India 25 for 0 in 5 overs: A streaky boundary for Punia as an incoming delivery from Ismail takes the inside-edge and runs away for four. A few balls later, a rising delivery catches Punia off guard, she negotiates it, albeit uncomfortably and fortunately for her, the ball falls to the ground. After a examination from the physio, Punia resumes her innings.
India 16 for 0 in 4 overs: A boundary off the first ball from Punia, followed by five dot balls from Kapp's second over.
India 12 for 0 in 3 overs: An exquisite cut shot from Mandhana gives her her first boundary of the innings. The southpaw had a near escape of the following ball, as a mistimed pull fell just shot of the fielder at short-midwicket. Productive over for India. 6 runs coming from it.
India 6 for 0 in 2 overs: Marizanne Kapp shares the new ball with Ismail and begins tidily with just one run coming from her first over.
India 5 for 0 in 1 over: Punia gets India off to a good start with a boundary from the very first ball of the game. Just a single and four dots from the rest of the over.

The fifth ODI maybe a dead rubber, but India has a chance to win this game and reduce the margin of defeat for the series. For some of the players like Mandhana and Kaur, the match is an opportunity to get a big score and carry that confidence into the T20I series, starting in a few days.

4th ODI- Review
South Africa won yet another toss in the series and inserted India into bat. The hosts lost Smriti Mandhana early and then Priya Punia fell, after getting off to a start. But arguably India's best batter in the series, Punam Raut, was joined by skipper Raj and the duo put on 103 runs in 22 overs for the third wicket, before the latter fell for 45.
Vice-captain Harmanpreet Kaur walked in and blazed her way to a 35-ball 54, putting on 88 runs for the fourth wicket with Raut, who reached her century in the 49th over of the innings, helping India reach 266 for 4 in their 50 overs.
In reply, the in-form Lizelle Lee and captain Laura Wolvaardt got their side off to a productive start, putting on 116 runs for the first wicket, before the former fell for 69 to Kaur's off-spin. Wolvaardt, too, fell in a few overs time, giving India an opening to get back into the game. But Lara Goddall, along with the experienced Mignon du Preez, began the rebuild and over-by-over began to take the game away from the Indians.
The duo put on 103 runs for the third wicket, before the latter fell for 61 runs. Goddall, however, stayed till the end and with Marizanne Kapp, helped the Proteas coast to a seven-wicket win and clinch the series.
South African opener Lizelle Lee was rewarded for her terrific form during this series as she replaced England's Tammy Beaumont at the top of the batter rankings in ODI.
