Shai Hope replaces Rajendra Chandrika in WI squad

Shai Hope replaces Rajendra Chandrika in the West Indies 14-man side.

Barbados opener, Shai Hope, has been included in the West Indies squad for the third Test against India, starting on August 9 in St. Lucia. The 22-year-old replaces Rajendra Chandrika in the side. Hope has played six Tests, scoring 171 runs at an average of 15.54.

The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) made no changes in the 14-man squad apart from dropping Chandrika, who scored 16, 31, 5 and 1 in the first two Tests.

India won the first Test by an innings and 92 runs. The second Test at Kingston, Jamaica ended in a draw.

West Indies squad for third Test: Jason Holder (capt.), Kraigg Brathwaite, Devendra Bishoo, Jermaine Blackwood, Carlos Brathwaite, Darren Bravo, Roston Chase, Miguel Cummins, Shane Dowrich, Shannon Gabriel, Shai Hope, Leon Johnson, Alzarri Joseph and Marlon Samuels.
