England players celebrate after entering the final on Wednesday.

Welcome to the highlights of the second Euro 2020 semifinal between England and Denmark from the Wembley Stadium in London.

Jubilation in the England camp. Years of despair has ended as Gareth Southgate's men break the Euro finals duck finally and with it also end the long, long wait of an appearance in a major tournament final.

Denmark can be proud. Super proud of its performance in this competition. It was brilliant at the back and via Mikkel Damsgaard gave one of the goals of the tournament.

But it lacked a bit in attack, but even more crucially, had a contentious penalty go against it and it meant that it fell in the semifinals.

After close to one month of action, we have the finalists of Euro 2020: England will face Italy. At Wembley. On Sunday.

Join us for that game. Until then, it is Goodbye and take care.

The referee blows the final whistle and ENGLAND IS THROUGH TO THE FINAL! The long, arduous wait is over. The Three Lions enters its first major tournament final in 55 years. Its first European Championships final!

1 MINUTE ADDED!

115' Maehale puts in a ball from the left, but Maguire rises and clears it away.

5 MINUTES TO GO!

113' England getting a lot of the ball in the last few minutes. They will be happy with that.

110' Denmark has had a lot of the possession since the start of the second half of extra time. But nothing in terms of chances.

THE SECOND HALF OF EXTRA TIME BEGINS!

The sub has been subbed: Grealish is off, Trippier is on.

The referee blows the whistle and England is 15 minutes away from the final! Denmark has all to do.

You can question the penalty, whether there was any contact from Maehle or not. But Kane stepped up, put in a good shot, it was brilliantly saved by Schmeichel, but he could not do anything about the rebound. WHAT A MOMENT FOR THE THREE LIONS!

104' GOALLLLLLLLLLLLL! Kane gives England the lead. The penalty is superbly saved by Schmeichel but the striker slots it in on the rebound.

101' PENALTY TO ENGLAND!!!!!!! Sterling comes in through to the right, he dribbles in past the Danish players and goes down.

There is a VAR check on. It is complete and England have it.

5 MINUTES LEFT IN THE FIRST HALF OF EXTRA TIME!

97' Sterling tries to create something from the right, the ball bounces off, comes to Shaw who tries to put the cross. The ball takes a deflection and goes out. From the resulting corner, England again finds it difficult to breach the Danish defence.

CHANGES for England: Jordan Henderson and Phil Foden are on Declan Rice and Mason Mount.

93' England with the first big chance as Walker puts in a fine pass to Kane, who takes a shot from wide and it is saved by Schmeichel.

HERE WE GO! We are off in extra-time with Denmark starting proceedings.

That was an extremely watchable half of football. England had the better of the chances, but lacked precision. Denmark has looked solid at the back, but has failed to create a lot in the English half.

All that means we will have 30 more minutes to find a winner. That starts in a bit. Join us for that.

The referee blows the final whistle and we will go into extra-time after it ends 1-1 at full-time.

90+2' Shaw is brought down and England gets the free kick. Sterling gets the ball on the right, but is unable to make anything out of it.

SIX MINUTES ADDED!

89' Lots and lots of passing by the England midfielders, but nothing in terms of chances.

87' CHANGE for Denmark: Yensen on for Delaney.

The clock is ticking away. Under 5 minutes to go!

81' Shaw puts in the free kick. Stones rises, heads it but the ball is wide.

79' Good play from England as a ball from Shaw goes into the foot of Phillips, who takes a right-footed shot, which goes wide.

A fourth change for Denmark as an injured Christensen walks off and is replaced by Anderson.

73' There is a VAR check on for a potential penalty for England, but is not given. It was for a challenge on Kane by Norgaard.

71' Wass is booked for a challenge on Grealish and England gets a free kick. Shaw delivers the set piece and a series of passes ends with a Mount chip, that is tipped over the cross-bar.

20 MINUTES LEFT ON THE CLOCK as Gareth Southgate has a a word with Mason Mount.

CHANGE For England: Jack Grealish comes on for Bukayo Saka.

CHANGES FOR Denmark: Stryger is off, Wass is on. Damsgaard is off, Poulsen is on and Dolberg is off and his place is taken by Norgaard.

63' England looking more and more dangerous, particularly the likes of Phillips, Mount and Sterling. But still no goal for them.

UNDER 30 MINUTES OF REGULATION TIME TO GO!

58' Better from England as Sterling puts in a pass to Shaw, who drives forward, puts in a ball, but it is not as close to the goal as he would like.

53' Kane is brought down again, this time by Maehle to give England another free kick. Mount delivers it, Maguire gets a decent head on it, but Schmeichel gets his right hand out and saves it. CLOSE!

50' Denmark's first chance of the half as Vestergaard puts a pass to Dolberg, who takes a shot and it is well saved by Pickford.

47' An early free kick for England as Saka is brought down, wide of the pitch on the right-hand side. Mount puts in the delivery, Maguire rises but also so does his arm, which lands on Kjaer's face. The centre-back is booked for it.

WELCOME BACK! England to restart proceedings.

That was a half which came to life after the opening 30 minutes, courtesy one of the best goals in the competition, via Mikkel Damsgaard, whose free kick broke the deadlock.

However, their lead stood for less than ten minutes as Simon Kjaer netted in an own goal to help England get the game back on an even keel.

Who will take the lead first in this second semifinal? Join us for the second half in a bit.

No time added. The referee blows the whistle and we are all square at half-time.

Once again Kane, who has been so good away from goal puts in a pass to Saka, who gets the pass in to Sterling, who tries to get a touch, but Kjaer gets a better impact on the ball and goes into the back of the net.

39' GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL! ENGLAND EQUALISES VIA AN OWN GOAL FROM KJAER.

37' WHAT A SAVE FROM SCHMEICHEL! Great play from England as Kane puts in a ball from the right hand side to Sterling, who takes a shot from the close range and it is saved.

34' Kane is brought down by Delaney and it is an England free kick from a favourable position. Sterling takes it, the ball clatters into the wall and goes out of play.

That second challenge by Shaw has proven costly for England as a set-piece from a better range sees Damsgaard convert in spectacular fashion and put the Danes in front.

30' GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLL! Damsgaard gives Denmark a 1-0 lead with a absolutely cracking free kick.

27' DENMARK free kick after Dolberg is brought down for a challenge by Mount. The routine repeats after Christensen is brought down by Shaw in the wall.

25' FREE KICK for England. Mount takes it, but nothing comes out of it.

24' The Danes have started to ease their way into this match as Damsgaard gets the ball to his feet, via a poor clearance from Maguire and a pass from Dolberg. He takes a shot, but the ball flies away.

20' Denmark has had a good last few minutes, with a bit more possession of the ball.

15' Poor from England, via Phillips first and Pickford later, results in two shots for Denmark and a corner. Stryger puts in the delivery, but no harm done for England.

14' Ambitious from Kane as he looks to whip a ball from the middle towards goal from a Walker ball. The ball flies out of play.

12' More good play from England as Kane puts in a pass to Sterling, who takes a weak shot that lands in the hands of Schmeichel.

11' England once look to create something from the right hand side of the pitch, this time via Mason Mount, who looks to put in a delivery, which takes a touch from a Denmark player and goes out of play.

9' G ood play from Denmark as Damsgaard gets a good ball in from the right, but Walker does well to prevent anything substantial from happening.

8' England looking the more confident unit as we near the 10-minute mark.

5' First bit of real action as Harry Kane delivers in a ball from the wide area of the pitch, but the ball is a bit too deep for Sterling to get a touch on it.

3' Both teams exchanging possession in the early stages of this half.

24'' An early foul on Sterling, but not dangerous enough to be a booking. Soon enough, Phillips puts in a challenge on Hojbjerg.

HERE WE GO! Denmark kicks off proceedings.

Harry Kane presents a signed England jersey to Simon Kjaer, with Eriksen and number 10 written behind.

The national anthems are over and we are almost set.

Both teams are on their way to the middle for the national anthems.
