Gursimar Badwal wins Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour

After rounds of 71 and 75, the 24-year-old from Kapurthala stormed ahead of the field at the Prestige Golfshire course on Friday to finish with a total of two-under 214.

Gursimar Badwal shot a sizzling four-under 68 on the final day to grab her maiden title of the season as she won the ninth leg of the Hero Women’s Professional Golf Tour 2017. After rounds of 71 and 75, the 24-year-old from Kapurthala stormed ahead of the field at the Prestige Golfshire course on Friday to finish with a total of two-under 214.

Overnight leader Neha Tripathi faltered in the third round, shooting three-over 75 to finish two shots behind the victor (216). Gaurika Bishnoi (217), who continues to lead the Order of Merit, was one stroke further behind in third.

The Tour now moves to the KGA course (Aug 30 to Sep 1) for the tenth leg.
