Anargya, Vishwa claim honours, West Bengal cadets triumph

Saving a match-point in the tense seventh set, second-seeded Karnataka-girl M. Anargya outlasted Tamil Nadu’s B. Kavyasree, seeded fourth, to claim her maiden sub-junior title in the National ranking table tennis championship (North Zone), here, on Friday.

At the adjacent table, Tamil Nadu’s D. Vishwa proved a worthy winner in the sub-junior boys section. The fourth seed outwitted Delhi’s Aadarsh Chetri, seeded six, 4-2. Earlier, West Bengal’s Emon Adhikary and Sayani Panda claimed the honours in the cadet singles.
