India’s Abhishek Verma finished eighth in the men’s compound event at the end of the second day of qualifying at the 19th Asian Championship in Bangkok. Verma scored 699. South Korea's Kim Jongho was placed at the top with 709 points. The other Indians in the fray, Sarvesh Pareek (695), Rajat Chauhan (694), and Arjun (680) were ranked 12, 14 and 29 respectively.

In the team event, the Indian men were placed third (2088 points) behind South Korea, who are leading with 2120 points, 11 ahead of second placed Iran (2109).

In the mixed compound team event, India were placed fourth with 1381 points. South Korea have the lead with 1403 points. Chinese Taipei (1394) were placed second and Iran (1384) hold the third position.

In women's compound event, Jyothi Surekha Vennam ended at number eight with 682 points. Jayalakshmi Sarikonda ended at number 11 with 681 points, followed by Swati Dudhwal, who was ranked 12, with 679 points. The other Indian in the event, Purvasha Sudhir Shende, finished at number 17 with 674 points.

In team event, Indian women (2042) were also placed third behind South Korea (2074) and Chinese Taipei (2059).
