Bollywood actor-producer Arbaaz Khan has confessed to his involvement in the Indian Premier League betting racket. The arrest of Sonu Jalan, a popular bookie, on Thursday led to further investigations when Khan’s name came up.

Khan allegedly lost Rs 2.80 crore to Jalan while placing bets. The bookie threatened the actor when he was not paying the amount.

Khan, the younger brother of superstar Salman Khan, was grilled by the Thane anti-extortion cell since Friday.

According to reports, Khan has been placing bets in the IPL for the past few seasons through Jalan, who earlier operated under the moniker ‘Junior Kolkata’.

The 41-year-old Jalan was the kingpin of the IPL betting racket that surfaced in 2013. He apparently has links in Pakistan, Gulf, a few European countries and is also said to have connections with underworld fugitive Dawood Ibrahim.
