Aman achieved the feat — ensuring a tally of 65 wickets — in the ongoing Plate Group contest against Manipur in Patna. He broke a 44-year-old record; Bedi had taken 64 wickets for Delhi in the 1974-75 season.

Prolific

Aman made his Ranji Trophy debut this season, after the reintegration of Bihar in the competition. In seven completed first-class matches, Aman has taken four 10-wicket match hauls already — against Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, and Nagaland.

He has also contributed with the bat, scoring 89 in a comprehensive victory over Sikkim, and 111 — his first first-class century — in an innings defeat inflicted on Mizoram.
