A number of rain delays and washouts today. Eight games couldn't start because of the weather. Ninety overs were bowled only in the Manipur-Goa and the Assam-Uttarakhand matches. The teams would be hoping that the weather gets better at least tomorrow. Until then, See you!

UPDATES:

Kerala loses seventh wicket. Salman Nizar dismissed by Ravi Kiran. And a few moments later,
it's stumps! Kerala finishes day one at 126 vs Hyderabad.

At stumps on Day 1, Punjab 266 for the loss of eight wickets against Delhi with Mandeep Singh top-scoring with a 181-ball 81. Gurkeerat Mann also shone with a half-century.

V. V. Subrahmanyam updates from Hyderabad: Minutes before close of play, Kerala loses captain Sachin Baby, dismissed by off spinner Saaketh Sai Ram. Kerala 124/ 6

At stumps on Day 1, Karnataka 79 for 3, in reply to Mumbai's 194. R Samarth (40 n.o.) and Karun Nair (0 n.o.) will hold the key to the outcome of the match tomorrow morning.

Amol Karhadkar pings from Mumbai: Two for Mulani! Abhishek caught at silly point by Sarfaraz. Umpire S Ravi is upset with the Mumbai camp for not having appealed but a chat with Yadav and Tare has sorted it out. At 68/2, debutant Rohan Kadam has a tricky few minutes to see off.

Punjab bring up their 250 with skipper Mandeep Singh unbeaten on 80. A century is definitely on the cards. Punjab 250/6

Amol Karhadkar pings from Mumbai: Shams Mulani was unlucky to have seen Sarfaraz Khan drop R Samarth at gully a little while ago but the left-arm spinner finally gives Mumbai the breakthrough by trapping Devdutt Padikkal lbw. Karnataka 68 for 1, with 15 minutes remaining.

Amol Karhadkar pings from Mumbai: Injury scare for Prithvi Shaw. In an attempt to stop the overthrow, Shaw hurts his left shoulder and walks off the field. The Karnataka openers, meanwhile, have been scoring at will. 52 for no loss in 12 overs.

Abhishek Mukherjee pings from Jaipur: Hanuma Vihari falls cheaply once again and is dismissed lbw by seamer Rituraj Singh, who has two wickets now. He broke the nagging first-wicket partnership by having D. B. Prashant Kumar caught behind. It was a delivery going down leg, and Prashant got a tickle. Andhra 61 for 2 in 16 overs, the deficit: 90

V. V. Subrahmanyam updates from Hyderabad: Pacer Mohammed Siraj picks his second wicket for Hyderabad, traps Vishnu Vinod. Kerala 70 for five in 24th over.

V. V. Subrahmanyam updates from Hyderabad: At Tea, Kerala's decision to bat first has backfired as the side is reeling at 45 for the loss of four wickets. Captain Sachin Baby and V Vinod will resume the innings against Hyderabad.

Abhishek Mukherjee pings from Jaipur: It's Tea. Andhra has begun well, the openers compiling 31 runs together in six overs. Gnaneswar and D. B. Prashant Kumar have three fours each. Andhra 31/0 after 6 overs.

Robin Uthappa runs out of luck as Ravi Teja removes him. Perfect delivery, invited Uthappa to drive and the batsman obliged only to get an outside edge and the keeper does the rest. Kerala 33/4 after 15

V. V. Subrahmanyam updates from Hyderabad: Hyderabad pacer Ravi Kiran picks his second wicket, cleans up Rohan Prem to leave Kerala in trouble at 32 for three in 14th over.

Suryakumar Yadav was the lone batsman to shine with a 94-ball 77 as Karnataka bowled out Mumbai for 194.

Amol Karhadkar pings from Mumbai: Yet another soft (or poor?) dismissal for Mumbai. Surya Yadav (77 off 94b, 10x4, 2x6) caught down the leg off Mithun. Mumbai 193/9 after 55.1 overs.

Tamil Nadu skipper Vijay Shankar, R Sai Kishore and assistant coach R Prasanna look at the covered pitch before umpires called off play on day one due to depleted ground conditions at Green Park stadium in Kanpur.

Abhishek Mukherjee pings from Jaipur: Rajasthan’s innings comes to a close. After playing many agricultural hoicks to steer the team’s total to 151, Menaria departs, for 74. He pulls Vijaykumar straight to mid wicket. Rajasthan 151 all out.

V. V. Subrahmanyam updates from Hyderabad: Hyderabad pacer Ravi Kiran strikes the first blow, removes Kerala opener P. Rahul, forcing him to push forward tentatively only to be caught behind. Kerala 16/1 after 8.4 overs.

Amitabha Das Sharma updates from Kolkata: Day-long showers force the abandonment of first day's action between Bengal and Gujarat without a ball being bowled...

Amol Karhadkar pings from Mumbai: Tushar Deshpande is no muck with the bat but Surya Yadav doesn't trust the left-handed batter, it seems. The Mumbai captain, batting in the 70s, is going for the big shots and farming the strike. Mumbai 167/7 after 46 overs.

Abhishek Mukherjee pings from Jaipur: Rajasthan nine down. Aniket Choudhary is run out. Andhra is taking a bit of time getting rid of the lower-order batsmen. Tanveer-ul-Haq hung around for a bit and had a fruitful partnership of 33 runs with Menaria before edging right-arm seamer P. Vijaykumar to the slips. Menaria has hit a half-century. He looks assured and unruffled; he even took the liberty of playing a slog off Stephen, perhaps the most incisive bowler on the day, and take a six through midwicket. Rajasthan 128/9 after 44.2 overs.

Mumbai lose another wicket as Shashank departs for 35. However, skipper Suryakumar Yadav is holding up one end and is batting on 73. Mumbai 162/7 after 42.2 overs.

Skipper Mandeep Singh and Anmolpreet Singh have forged a stand and are ticking the scorecard. Punjab 161/3 after 40 overs.

P.S. Poonia takes a five-wicket haul as Services bowl out Maharashtra for a mere 44.

V. V. Subrahmanyam updates from Hyderabad: Inspection at 12.30 pm and play possible around 1 pm if it doesn't rain.

Abhishek Mukherjee pings from Jaipur: It's lunch. Ashok Menaria has been the only batsman to show some resistance. He rode his luck; once slashing a delivery off Stephen through third man for a streaky boundary. But he has looked assured for the most part. Rajasthan88/ 7 after 32 overs.

Vijesh Prabhudesai takes six wickets as Goa bundles out Manipur for 106. As many as four batsmen walked back without troubling the scorers.

Abhishek Mukherjee pings from Jaipur: Stephen has four. It's the sixth time he has taken four or more wickets in an innings, in his career. He cleans up Rituraj Singh; the leg-stump lies flat on the ground. Rajasthan seven down. Rajasthan 84/7 after 29.1 overs.

Amol Karhadkar pings from Mumbai: Surya Yadav (33* off 45b, 5x4, 1x6) is waging a lone battle as Mumbai end the session at 86 for 6 in 29 overs. Karnataka couldn't have asked for a better start to the big match. Mumbai 86/6 after 29 overs.

Services bowlers have left Maharashtra in all sorts of trouble as they are seven down for just 40 runs on board. Maharashtra 40/7 after 27.5 overs.

Gurkeerat Mann hits a fine 65 but fails to convet into a big one as Punjab loses its thrid wicket. Shubman Gill failed to make an impact as he departed for 23. Delhi aim further inroads. Punjab 115/3 after 23.4 overs.

Abhishek Mukherjee pings from Jaipur: Stephen has one more. He bowls a good length delivery, on off-stump, and Salman Khan edges it to first slip. There were two close calls as well, in the over. Andhra seemed confident about possible edges to the wicketkeeper, but the umpire gave them not-out. Rajasthan 70/6 after 26.1 overs.

Mumbai slip further to be six down with just 60 runs on the board. While Prateek Jain and Ronit More have picked two wickets each, Abhimanyu Mithun and V. Koushik have picked a wicket each. Mumbai 60/6 after 25.2 overs.

Abhishek Mukherjee pings from Jaipur: Another batsman departs. Rajesh Bishnoi plays perhaps the first drive in the entire session - a gentle push to mid-on for no run - before being trapped lbw by Stephen. Rajasthan 55/5 after 21.5

Abhishek Mukherjee pings from Jaipur: Lomror was all at sea against C. V. Stephen in the 19th over. Lomror nearly nicked behind twice, and later in the over, edged a delivery to second slip. C. R. Gnaneswar dived to pouch the offering. Rajasthan 41/4 after 19.1 overs.

V. V. Subrahmanyam updates from Hyderabad: Covers still on, play unlikely before lunch in overcast conditions.

Abhishek Mukherjee pings from Jaipur: Andhra on top as Sasikanth gets two more. After playing cautiously for the best part of the first hour, Yash Kothari nicks behind off a quick delivery from Sasikanth and soon after, captain Robin Bist is dismissed for a duck, trapped lbw.

Andhra continue to make inroads as K.V. Sasikanth removes Robin Bist for a duck. Saikanth takes three as even the other opener - Y.B. Kothari departs. Rajasthan 31/3 after 16 overs.

Amol Karhadkar pings from Mumbai: Karnataka on top, with Abhimanyu Mithun getting the prize scalp of Prithvi Shaw (29 off 57). With Karnataka drying out boundaries for Shaw, the opener attempted a half-hearted push only to play it on the stumps. Demons of the last week hovering over the Mumbai camp as Sarfaraz Khan takes guard. Mumbai 46/4 after 17.3 overs.

Abhishek Mukherjee pings from Jaipur: Andhra reaps the reward of some disciplined bowling at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. All three of their seamers - P. Vijaykumar, C. V. Stephen and K. V. Sasikanth - have settled on a good length on an off-stump channel. The opening batsmen were watchful for the first half hour, before Chetan Bist was trapped lbw by Sasikanth. Mahipal Lomror, the new batsman, got off the mark with a flick to leg. Rajasthan 21/1 after 11 overs.

Vijesh Prabhudesai of Goa wrecks havoc as Manipur is six down with just nine runs on the board. Four batsmen are out for duck. Manipur 9/6 after 9.2 overs.

Amol Karhadkar pings from Mumbai: Ronit More is on fire. He first got Rahane to edge behind and later in the over, get through Siddhesh Lad's defence. Mumbai 39/3 after 13.4 overs.

It's been a slow but steady start by Rajasthan as Chetan Bist and Y.B. Kothari are busy seeing off the new ball against Andhra. Rajasthan 16/0 after 9 overs.

V. V. Subrahmanyam updates from Hyderabad: Covers still on at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium for the match between Hyderabad and Kerala.

Overnight showers delayed the start of Hyderabad vs Kerala.

Amol Karhadkar pings from Mumbai: A firm straight drive by Ajinkya Rahane almost results in his dismissal as bowler Ronit More fails to latch on to a sharp return chance. Rahane survives on 7. Mumbai 30 for 1 after 10.5 overs.

Subodh Bhati makes an early breakthrough as Punjab loses an early wicket. Opener Sanvir Singh departs for a duck. Punjab 6/1 after 3.5 overs.

Amol Karhadkar pings from Mumbai: Aditya Tare, opening for the first time this season, attempts a drive off V Koushik off the first ball, only to edge it to the keeper Sharath. Umpire S Ravi upholds the caught-behind appeal. Tare is flummoxed, stands his ground for a long time before walking back. Mumbai 16/1 after 6.3 Overs.

Rahane joins Shaw and whips the second ball he faces for a four. The duo will hold the key for Mumbai's fortunes.

V. V. Subrahmanyam updates from Hyderabad: Overnight showers delay start, covers are on and the toss is yet to happen for the Hyderabad vs Kerala match.

Amol Karhadkar pings from Mumbai: Four-pronged pace attack for Karnataka while Mumbai includes an additional spinner. Who has misread the conditions? Karnataka, by the way, have inserted Mumbai in after winning the toss.
