Rohit, in this match against Pakistan, got to his fifty with a six and a four off Shadab Khan. He took 34 balls to get to his half-century, which had six boundaries and two sixes.

With Shikhar Dhawan ruled out for three weeks with a thumb injury, Rohit had K.L. Rahul as his opening partner after India was put in to bat.

Rohit was nimble footed right from the start of his innings and hit his first boundary of Hasan Ali, which was just a push wide of mid-off. The opener had a cautious approach while taking on Mohammad Amir and again targeted Ali by hitting him for a six and a boundary.
